(SOLD) Italian Antique Drop Leaf Table- Seats 6

(SOLD) This walnut oval shaped Italian antique drop leaf table has beautifully shaped supports. A friend in Italy told me that often this kind of table is referred to as a “pipistrelli” table (which means bats in Italian) because the supports are like large wings that swing open.  Other details are a drawer on each end and the circular cut out at the base of the table.  This cut out at the  base was used to hold a bowl which would be filled with hot coals for warmth when needed while dining.  This table seats 4-6 people.
