Italian Ceramic Utensil Holder - Ochre Canister

This ceramic canister is perfect for serving breadsticks at the table or for all of your wooden spoons and used as a utensil holder by the stove.  Handmade by potters in Puglia, Italy, the inside and outside top rim are glazed with a warm ochre color and the rest of the canister is a natural unglazed terracotta finish.  Antique terracotta canisters in this exact shape where once used to store food. We have even had a few of those antique ones in the store! The design and color remains unchanged from those produced for hundreds of years.
