(SOLD) Rustic Tuscan Terracotta Pot

(SOLD) This 19th century antique pot is from the Val di Chiana province of Arezzo in Tuscany.  The color and simple painted design is characteristic of the area. This kind of an Italian terracotta pot would have been used as a cooking pot and they often have black charred markings (as does this one) as a result.  As a decorative statement in a home, it’s very rustic and interesting.
