Vintage alabaster profile of Dante Alghieri, the Italian poet and author of the Divine Comedy. Signed on the back F. Romanelli, Firenze. A studio in Borgo San Frediano in the Oltrarno quarter of the city that is run today by the fifth generation of the Romanelli Sculptors, who since 1829 have passed on their skills through the sons of the family.
