(SOLD) This glazed antique jar was used to preserve foods. The various colors of cream, tan and yellow are particularly nice. Its age dates back to the beginning of the 1900’s and it has some chipping from use over time. It has developed a very nice patina. The jar’s origin is from the region of Puglia, in particular from the area of Salento, which is the southernmost part of the heel of Italy.
Today, this earthenware jar makes a wonderful decorative piece.
